{Prayers, Thoughts, Vibes...}

Prayers, Thoughts, Vibes, Crossed Fingers, whatever it is you do, can you do it?

Baby Nyana just celebrated her 6 month Birthday a couple days ago and today she will receive her first surgery. Though she celebrated her half birthday in the NICU she won't be there much longer because this surgery means that the end (or the beginning, rather) is well within reach.

She will be receiving a G-tube so that her little body can put more energy and focus into healing her lungs and less into worrying about eating. It's one big step towards the finish line.

Nyana has come so far from the tiny 2lb 6oz babygirl that arrived into this world and there is no doubt that she will overcome this surgery like a champ. She's a survivor and a fighter but a little extra support never hurts.

Meeting Baby Ny <3

Best of luck to your family tomorrow, Karen & Don - Walks on the SeaWalk are just around the corner!

Check out Nyana's story here.

Thanks so much for this! And yay that you get it -- I've been worried that folks won't get the feeding vs. breathing issues we've been having. :)

Thinking about Nyana today. I think anyone following your blog understands the decision for the G-tube. You are doing what is best for her to heal her lungs - amazing things that they are to self heal with time!
